I am a bard and a historian. I’ve wandered the length and breadth of this land since I was a small boy, excited by tales of high adventure and evil. I should tell you that as I have told these tales over and over certain embellishments have been added to make them more interesting. The lines between reality and story have faded so that I no longer can remember all of the details. This tales I am about to tell you are stories of sadness and joy, evil and truth, of darkness and redemption.
